West Indies star Rovman Powell will make his Kolkata Knight Riders debut against
the Punjab Kings on Saturday during the IPL 2025 fixture between the sides at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
The Windies all-rounder replaced English southpaw Moeen Ali,
while KKR also brought in Chetan Sakaria in place of Ramandeep Singh.
The 31-year-old was part of the Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals franchises earlier in the
T20 league and was roped in by KKR at the auction ahead of the ongoing season for a price of Rs 1.5 Crore.
KKR come into the game placed seventh in the IPL table with 6 points in 8 outings this season
while Punjab, placed fifth, have 10 points in eight outings in the campaign heading into the fixture at the hallowed turf in Kolkata.
PBKS, led by former KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer, won the toss and opted to bat first.
Punjab finished with a total of 201 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.
